How much can I contribute to my IRA?

You can annually contribute 100% of your earned income up to the maximum dollar amount allowed. The maximum regular contribution amount is $5000.00 for the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. If you are over the age of 50 you may make an additional contribution of $1000.00 as a catch up contribution. The annual contribution limit on Coverdell ESA accounts is $2000.00 per child.
