Community Involvement

Community matters to us
We're Oregonians Credit Union, and that means Oregonians and Oregon matter to us. After all, we live and work in the same communities as you (we're Oregonians, too). In the last decade alone, we've invested over $475,000 to community organizations that impact lives on a local level.
We're involved
Every year, we do our dead-level best to help our fellow Oregonians. We sponsor, fundraise, donate, and participate.

Crooked River Roundup
If you live in Central Oregon, you know all about the Crooked River Roundup. It's an iconic part of the fabric of Prineville's community. We've been proud to be a Presenting Sponsor of this annual event for over a decade.

Special Olympics Oregon
From our CEO spending the night in a bivy sack during a snowstorm on Mt. Hood, to our leadership team getting dunked with buckets of ice... we take our Special Olympics Oregon Polar Plunge fundraising very seriously. We've been participating in Polar Plunge since 2013.

SOLVE Oregon Cleanups
When our beaches, city streets and parks get cluttered with litter, SOLVE volunteers step in to clean them up. SOLVE hosts hundreds of cleanups across our state, and each year we participate in some of them.

Doernbecher Children's Hospital
Doernbecher Children's Hospital does work that truly make a difference, and Oregonians know this. We've been so proud to fundraise to support this Hospital going back to 2008.

Paws for a Cause
In 2019, we started an annual fundraiser that we call "Paws for a Cause". Staff and members can donate new stuffed toys, or purchase new ones from us, that are ultimately donated into the hands of local law enforcement to give to children in traumatic events.

Teddy Bear Parades
We've participated in many of our community teddy bear parades over the years. These parades are a celebration of children, and a great opportunity to raise toy donations to be given to children by members of our local emergency response systems.

Prineville's Picnic in the Park
Prineville's annual Picnic in the Park concert series supports local musicians and gives locals a summer filled with weekly free community concerts. We've been a Title Sponsor of this series for over a decade.

American Red Cross
When natural disasters hit close to home, we know we can't be on the frontlines where help is needed most. So we support the community groups that can. The wildfires of 2021, for example, where the Red Cross was doing that work that mattered. We matched $15,000 of member donations made to our local Red Cross chapter, and helped raise over $40,000.
