Community Involvement
Community matters to us
We're Oregonians Credit Union, and that means Oregonians and Oregon matter to us. In the last decade alone, together with our members we've invested over $475,000 to into our communities impacting lives on local levels.
We're involved
Every year, we do our dead-level best to help Oregonians. We sponsor, fundraise, donate, and volunteer.
Supporting Special Olympians
One of our Branch Managers coaches a local soccer team and we have other staff who regularly volunteer - that's how it all started! Every year we fundraise for Special Olympics Oregon. Our members have generously donated over $65,000 since 2013.
Plunging for a Purpose
We take Polar Plunge very seriously. Every February, we plunge into the Willamette River as a "thank you" to the generous donations our members make to Special Olympics Oregon.
Supporting Our Youngest Heroes
We support Doernbecher Children's Hospital so more local children get world-class care regardless of their financial circumstances. Since 2016, the heart of our members has shone through by generously donating over $60,000.
Celebrating our Communities
We team up each year to participate in numerous parades in our branch communities. Nothing steals the hearts of our children better than music, animals, candy and bubbles! We've perfected our waves and amped up our bubble machines.
Honoring a Prineville Tradition
The Crooked River Roundup is an iconic part of the fabric of the Prineville community that we've sponsored since 2007. As a Presenting Sponsor, members have opportunities to win box seat tickets each year. Visit the Prineville Branch during rodeo season to learn more.
Supporting Safer Streets
For more than a decade, TriMet provided free bus and MAX rides after 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve to help people get home safely. When they needed a sponsor to keep this program alive, we stepped up to the plate and have been sponsoring the program ever since.
