First-Time Homebuyer Savings
Features and Benefits
Oregon allows a subtraction for amounts you deposit during the tax year into this account, along with any earnings on deposits. The account must be opened on or before December 31, 2026 to qualify.
- Home must be in Oregon
- Purchase must be made within 10 years of opening the account
- You can save for your own purchase, or a qualified beneficiary
- There are caps on the amount you can deposit each year
- There are restrictions on what the funds can be used for
- $150 early account closure fee if closed within 180 days

Club Accounts
Club accounts are a good way to stay organized when savings for big purchases (vacation, Christmas, tax payments, etc.). Funds can only be withdrawn at the end of the savings period.
