Google Pay

A safe, convenient, and easy way to pay

With our cards, you have the option of using Google Pay™ (formerly Android Pay) – a simple and secure way to pay with your credit or debit card across all Android devices*.  Choose your device, add your credit and/or debit card, and you’re all set. Google Pay is accepted at millions of stores across the US, and is available in your favorite Android apps.

*Requires NFC-enabled Android device running KitKat 4.4 or better. Google Pay is a trademark of Google.

Getting started with Apple Pay

  • Look for the Google Pay app on your phone. Google Pay comes pre-loaded on several devices. If your phone doesn’t have the app, simply download it from Google Play.
  • Add your debit or credit card. If you already have a card in your Google account you can simply add it to Google Pay by confirming a few details, or you can add a new card - it’s as simple as snapping a picture.
  • Start tapping. Simply unlock your phone and tap to use Google Pay at any of the over one million store locations throughout the U.S. that accept contactless payments. Transactions show up on your account the same as a regular debit or credit card transaction.
You will be prompted to call (844) 646-5465 to verify your account when adding your Oregonians card to your digital wallet on your mobile phone. Upon calling, you will be asked verification questions in order to confirm your identity and then your Oregonians card will be activated for use with your phone.

 

 

 

Using Google Pay

Paying in stores

Forget fumbling through your wallet and handing over a card next time you’re in a store. With Google Pay you can simply unlock your phone, place it near a contactless terminal, and you’re good to go. You don’t even need to open an app.

Paying in apps

With Google Pay, you'll never have to enter your shipping and billing information for online checkout again. Just select "Buy with Google Pay" and we'll make sure your payment is processed quickly and securely.

Secure

When you shop at a merchant, Google Pay doesn’t send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead we use a virtual account number to represent your account information — so your card details stay safe.

Google Pay FAQs

Instead of transmitting your actual credit or debit card number at the register, Google Pay creates a unique and encrypted number along with a dynamic, one-time security code or cryptogram to process your payment. Merchants will not see your name or have access to your actual card number; further protecting your account information.
This is for security reasons, we may need you to verify certain information. The app will tell you specifically what steps you need to take to verify your card if they are needed. The verification phone number is 844-646-5465.
Yes. You can review your last 10 Android Pay transactions. 
Google Pay is currently accepted at millions of places and in select apps. Major merchants include McDonalds, Whole Foods, Walgreens, Staples, Subway, Jersey Mike's, Texaco, Disney Store, Best Buy, Petsmart and more.

It's protected with powerful built-in security technologies that help detect and block threats like spam, malware, and viruses from ever reaching you.

Open the Google Pay app and double tap your Oregonians card, then touch Set as default card. Or touch the card and drag it to the Default Card spot at the top of the app's home screen.
Yes, Oregonians Credit Union does not charge members for using Google Pay, but messaging and data rates may apply depending on your cellular plan.
You need an Android phone running Kit Kat (4.4) or higher and your phone needs to support NFC (Near Field Communication) and HCE (Host Card Emulation).
Yes, anytime you get a new or updated card you’ll need to re-enter the information in to Google Pay. This includes all reissued or replacement cards.
Your Google Pay transactions will appear like any other card transaction on your statement and online banking.
